Weigh-ins: Friday, January 29, 5:30pm – 8:00pm

Rules: National Federation High School Rules (45 minute rests between matches not in effect).

 

Division 1 Weights:   60, 66, 72, 78, 84, 90, 96, 103, 112, 125, 130+ (25 lbs maximum difference)

 

Division 2 Weights:   40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 76, 82+ (20 lbs maximum difference)

 

Weights Changes: You have up until 6pm, Thursday, January 28, to email the tournament directors at cajrhighstate@yahoo.com  to change your registered weight with no penalty. If you do not make your registered weight on Friday, you have the option of bumping up a weight for an additional $30. There will be no weight changes after 8 pm on Friday. If you do not make your registered weight and do not want to pay the weight change fee, you will not be able to wrestle and your entry fee will not be refunded.

 

Division 1 Eligibility: Must be born 1998 - 2000

 

Division 2 Eligibility: Must be born 2001 - 2005 (Wrestlers born 2004 & 2005 can only wrestle 40 or 45)

 

Format: 24-Man Brackets Double Elimination (Tournament will be OPEN to the first 24 wrestlers that sign up)

 

Seeding: Top 6 seeds will be based on seeding information. Entries received after January 28 , 7pm will not be seeded.

 

Entry Fee: $31.50 Fee must be pre-paid on-line. There are no refunds for entry fees or substitutions for entries.

MEDICAL INFORMATION: Athletes must be prepared and must submit to a skin disease screening prior to weigh-in. The chief medical officer has full authority without appeal in determining the eligibility of an athlete to compete. In the event of injury or illness, no contestant will be permitted to continue the competition without approval of the Chief Medical Officer, whose decision is final and not subject to appeal.

 

First Aid: A trainer will be on duty throughout the tournament.

 

FORMAT: 24-Man Brackets Double Elimination - Referee decisions final. All protests to be directed to tournament directors. All protests must be made before final match of the day.

 

WEIGH-INS: Each athlete will be allowed two consecutive attempts to make weight and may not leave the weigh-in area. Athletes must weigh-in wearing a singlet.

 

Time Periods: 1  - 1  - 1  Consolations.1 - 1 – 1 Overtime. One minute then 30 second tie breaker if needed.

 

Awards: 1st through 6th,  Outstanding Wrestler Awards in the lower and upper weight.

 

Finals: Finals on 1 or 2 mats

 

Team Championship: Trophies will be awarded to the top 2 clubs.

Coaching Floor Passes: Teams will receive 1 coach’s pass for 2 entries, 2 passes for 3-5 entries, 3 passes for 6-10 entries, and 4 passes with more than 11 entries. Only two Coaches are allowed at mat-side during competition.
